Xiaomi Mi Play has been launched at an event in China. It is a Mid-range smartphone with waterdrop notch. It is also the first model in the Play series of Xiaomi. It is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC.

The smartphone priced in China at 1,099 Yuan(approx. Rs. 11,000) for the 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage. It is available to pre-order in China and offline store will start selling the smartphone from 10 AM on tomorrow. The smartphone will also be bundled with 10GB data per month for 12 months.

The dual-SIM(Nano) smartphone has a 5.84-inches FHD+ display with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels and it has the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and pixel density of 443ppi. It is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC that is built on the 12nm process and coupled with IMGGE8320 GPU. It comes with 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage which can be expanded by MicroSD card up to 256GB. Mi Play runs on MIUI 10 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
On the back, it has 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor, accompanied with an LED flash. The camera is backed by AI scene detection, noise reduction and auto HDR. On the Front, it has an 8-megapixel camera for taking selfies, video calling with AI portrait mode and also supports face unlock.

The smartphone is backed with 3,000 mAh battery. On connectivity basis, it supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port. On-Board Sensors include an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, geomagnetic and gyroscope. The fingerprint sensor at the back.
