WhatsApp’s new feature to add contacts easily

WhatsApp Web PIP

WhatsApp is reportedly working to add an Instagram like feature that will help users to share contact details via a QR code instead of digit-by-digit. This feature is similar to the ‘Nametag’ feature of Instagram.

WhatsApp will generate a unique QR code for every user which they can show to other people to add to their contact list. According to WABetaInfo, The QR code will automatically enable WhatsApp to add all fields in the contact form and will automatically save it to the contacts app.

QR codes are not new for WhatsApp although WhatsApp requires users to scan QR code when logging into WhatsApp Web via their desktops. WhatsApp has been testing several features like picture-in-picture mode, private reply, dark mode, WhatsApp Sticker. Recently, WhatsApp added WhatsApp Stickers Are Now Rolling Out For Android And iOS. WhatsApp stickers were recently made available for both iOS and Android users and this feature have been an instant success among WhatsApp users.
