Samsung Galaxy A8s has confirmed to launch on December 10 in China and it could become the world’s first smartphone that features an in-display front camera. Samsung has confirmed this launch just after one day of Huawei’s confirmation to launch Huawei Nova 4 which also features an in-display front camera.
Both the device have similar designs with an in-display front camera and both companies were in a battle to be the first to launch the smartphone with an in-display camera. The Galaxy A8s will be in competition with Huawei Nova 4 which is launching on December 17.
This was first reported by a tipster IceUniverse and confirms the global debut of Galaxy A8s, the first smartphone with an Infinity-O-display. Samsung has published a poster on Weibo announcing that the Galaxy A8s smartphone will launch on December 10.
It is expected that Samsung would maintain a flat screen with Infinity-O-display with no notch or chin. Samsung Galaxy A8s is rumoured to come with a 6.39-inch FHD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is also rumoured that it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which is expanded via MicroSD card up to 512GB.
