It happens sometimes that we send a message and then we realise that something we missed in email or typed something which we don’t want to send so here is the solution to it. It also happens sometimes that we end it to the other person. To solve this type of issue, Gmail has provided an option so that we can recall the email before the message being sent. This feature in Gmail can recall the email up to 30 seconds. This feature works by simply delaying the delivery of the email and giving you a time to recall before it proceeds. So here are the steps –
- Login to your Gmail account and click on Gear icon which is on the top right of Gmail panel and from the menu you have to select “Settings”.
- Then move to “General” tab and in it, you will see the “Undo Send” section. Here you will see a drop-down option which is called “Send Cancellation Period.” From here you can select 5,10,20,30 seconds to recall the sent email.
- Then you have to go to the bottom of the page and click on “Save Changes” button.
- The process is complete now you can try sending an email to someone and you will see a notification popup which says “Message Sent”. You can also see an “Undo” button just right of the notification popup.
