How To Send Confidential Mail From Gmail

Gmail has a feature named Confidential Mail, in which people can send their email to others with an expiration date as well as preventing the receiver to copy, forward, download the email. In this feature, you can also put a passcode on the email. This mode can be used on both PC and Smartphone. Confidential mode also gives access to the sender to retrieve the email access anytime as well as passcode setting can also be accessed by it.

Confidential Mail on Smartphone:

To send confidential mail from a smartphone, we have to do a little bit of work. Firstly, update your Gmail app if it is available. Then follow the steps below:-

  • Open Gmail app then press + button to compose new mail then click on three dots which are on the top right of the menu. 
  • Then click on confidential then provide the expiration date and you can also set the passcode on the mail.

Confidential Mode On PC:

    • Open http://mail.google.com in your PC’s browser then click on compose button or Plus button which is showing on the tab’s top left side below the Gmail icon. After it, click on the Lock icon to access the confidential mode. Confidential Mail
