Messenger Lite New Feature

Facebook Messenger Lite Gets Animated GIF support and More

Facebook Messenger Lite is getting richer day-by-day and in this way, It has got new features that were already available in the full-featured Messenger app. It has updated on Android to offer features such as animated GIFs and most customization features.

This was confirmed by Facebook in a blog post. In Messenger Lite, users could receive GIFs but those GIFs are not animated. But In the new update, users can easily express themselves more with animated GIFs. To send a GIF, use a third party keyboard (such as the Google keyboard), search for GIFs in their library, and send a more expressive message,” Krish Gali, Product Manager, Facebook, wrote in a blog post on Wednesday.

The GIF sharing feature is a little bit different in Messenger lite compared to Messenger. Messenger App uses the Tenor GIF library to give mood-specific GIFs but in Messenger Lite, users would need to use third-party keyboards, like Google Keyboard or search for GIFs from their smartphone library.  The new features made Messenger Lite a feature-rich service, it is another great info that it still remains under 10MB size.
